David appeared in an episode of Ally McBeal, entitled "I Want Love," which aired November 26, 2001 on FOX. Here is the episode description from the TV Guide web site:

Jacqueline Bisset guest stars in this episode, which also features an appearance by Elton John. Bisset plays Jenny's mother, Frances, who wants to sue her former employer, an investment firm where she was expecting to become a partner. Instead, she was asked to leave, she believes, because of her engagement to a much younger man (Jeremy Garrett). Jenny is aghast at the prospect of the marriage, but Ally takes the case. However, Ally's in-court arguments for Frances work against her own self-imposed objections to dating “the boy” Glenn. The case concludes with a lively summation, thanks to Judge Ling. At the bar, John's songs include “Wasteland” and the aptly placed “I Want Love.”

David appeared in courtroom scenes as the former employer being sued by Jacqueline Bisset's character.
