In 1974, David Selby co-starred with Ron Leibman in The Super Cops, a film based on the true story of New York police officers Robert Hantz, played by Selby, and David Greenberg, played by Leibman. The film was directed by Gordon Parks, who is probably best known for his work on Shaft.
