In May 1981, David Selby appeared on Broadway playing the role of Dom in Oliver Hailey's I Won't Dance at the Helen Hayes Theatre. His co-stars were Gail Strickland as Lil and Arlene Golonka as Kay. (Selby and Strickland had previously worked together on Dark Shadows. Strickland played Dorcas Trilling, who fell victim to Quentin Collins, David's character, while he was a werewolf.)
